Ship grinding machine to customer
A short story with customer
Today, I'd like to introduce a Mexican client who was actually my second customer
when I first entered the industry. Our initial connection began with a glass rounding
machine incident. Although my first machine recommendation was relatively expensive,
he promptly paid a deposit after I later introduced a more suitable glass rounding machine.
To ensure responsibility, I personally visited the manufacturer's production facility to inspect
their workshop and 5S management.
After communicating with the factory owner, I decisively alerted my client to potential risks -
I noticed the owner frequently altered technical specifications during discussions, and future
grinding wheel replacements would be problematic. I therefore refunded the client's deposit in full,
despite the manufacturer refusing to return my own deposit. Being alone at their facility,
I prioritized safety over confrontation (I'll admit I showed some caution at the time). Ultimately,
I absorbed a 50% deposit loss, believing client protection outweighed my personal cost.
Months later, after thorough evaluation of multiple suppliers, I identified a reliable manufacturer
with excellent products and after-sales service. The client eventually chose this verified supplier.
Upon machine completion, I documented the entire setup process from electrical/pneumatic connections
to final production through photos and detailed instructions, ensuring smooth commissioning upon delivery.
This successfully concluded my second order.
The current 4-head edging machine and 9-head vertical edging machine shown in the attachments
represent this client's second order with us.
